It's been some time since I've driven my "good from a far, far from good" '72 C-10. I stopped driving it when gas went through the roof and it has sat since at least March.. I know this because I hadn't even put my new registration tags on it from April!

Any how, the last thing I did with the truck was pick up a '01 5.3L LS Chevy motor from Goldenwest Auto Wrecking  in Westminester, California , 714-892-8449, that I would eventually install in the '72. The time has come. Last night I pulled it out, washed it, cleaned the Cragars, and filled up so I could go down to Turnkey Engine Supply  in Oceanside, California, www.turnkeyengine.com; and have them work their LS magic on the gas sipping junkyard jewel. Stay tuned for our March '09 issue for the details!
